The Spiritual Unfollow

The Spiritual Unfollow

I just posted about this on instagram, but I know some people don't do the social media thing. But something that spirit just called me to address....

Have you ever reached a point where your go to ritual, favorite teachers, or practices just don't hit the same anymore? You can even see someone you once loved show up on your page and they just annoy you and irritate your spirit (Hope it's not me lol), but if it is.. that's ok too. It's not that something is wrong with you or them- it is because something in you has shifted.

This is what I call the spiritual unfollow. It is when you should silently unsubscribes from what no longer feeds it. There's no big announcement. No drama. Just a quiet internal knowing that something you once loved is no longer in alignment. You try to return to that ritual, that candle, that deck, that book , or that space, but it feels empty. It feels off-key and drained.

This is not failure, it is simply evolution. It is not spiritual laziness. And it is not you being inconsistent.. It is evolution. Your energy is sacred. And you're growing. You may crave depth, silence, and new tools.

Some people confuse this stage with burnout. Others think they have fallen off their path. But really? You're making room. Clearing out the energetic inbox. This is soul's decluttering. This unfollow doesn't need a caption or a callout. You don't have to explain why you are no longer available. Just honor a quiet no.

You're not lost. You're just not where you used to be. And that's ok too.

This resonated deeply with me, especially in this season of my life where I’m surrendering attachments to people, places, and things that no longer serve my highest self. I’m releasing energetic ties to karmic loops and allowing myself to expand fully into what’s meant for me. Beautiful post, I had to read it twice.Thank you Sade.

Thank you Sade. I actually felt this way about some spaces I occupied. The space did start to irritate me. I thought it was myself. Thank you for the clarity.

Your blog is right on the money. I’ve removed myself from different spaces for my own mental health, and spiritually I feel whole again. Thank you for all that you do.
